Young Collector Feed Biriyani Gets Lake Cleaned
Collector of Kozhikode in Kerala, Prashanth Nair
The district collector of Kozhikode in Kerala, Prashanth Nair, cleaned up an abandoned lake in the district to harvest rainwater. He posted on Social Media asking for volunteers and in return he will feed them 'Kozhikode Biriyani.' Sure enough a flood of volunteer’s mostly youth showed up and got the Pisharikavu Lake’s hyacinth and slush cleaned. On January 26th, the Pisharikavu Lake in Koyilandi got cleaned up thanks to young collector's efforts and his follower's labor. The 14 acer water body was cleaned up in a day.
Sure enough as promised the volunteers got fed with their favorite meal; Yum 'Kozhikode Biriyani.' Below some of the happy volunteers enjoying the meal.
This 35 year is treated by their people as their own version of Superman. He is called "collector bro" and he too use the buddy language to reply his fans. His down to earth demeanor and getting things done as necessary; makes him attracted to people. The other districts wnat him to be their collector.
